Our Lawrence Leadership Team

  • Jason Miller

My name is Jason Miller and I am the Plant Manager at ICL-Lawrence.  I have been with ICL for 17 years and worked in a variety of engineering and managerial roles throughout my career.  I grew up on a cattle farm in Valley Falls, KS, and attended the University of Kansas, receiving a B.S. in Chemical Engineering in 2005.  I have a wife and three kids that keep me busy outside of work.  I have a very strong passion for traveling and spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, boating, etc. with my family.  ICL has been a great place to start and grow my career and offers excellent opportunities in a wide variety of fields.  The Lawrence Plant is very family-oriented and while we certainly work hard, we also like to enjoy spending time together through a variety of fun, family-oriented activities that we do throughout the year.

Plant Manager

  • Kevin Loos

I am the Engineering Manager at ICL-Lawrence with 25+ years of experience in multiple leadership, engineering, manufacturing, energy, innovation, and improvement roles.  Since starting at the Lawrence plant in 2006, it has consistently been a wonderful place to work, providing me the personal and professional growth and balance I desire.  I grew up in Lincoln, NE and attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, receiving my B.S. in Chemical Engineering in 1993.  Once in Lawrence, I attended the University of Kansas, where I received my MBA in 2003.  Personally, I have a passion for mentoring and coaching youth, along with strong interests in community health, wellness, recreation, performing arts, and STEM initiatives.  There are many facets of the Lawrence plant I truly appreciate, but the people, work-life balance, and the opportunity to use my talents every day is what makes it stand out to me.  This pairs well with the helping and caring spirit of the Lawrence community that my family (wife and three boys) and I have always valued.

My working career started out in surface and underground coal mining in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. In 1985 I started work in the ICL-Lawrence plant as a production operator. In 1990 I moved into plant maintenance and worked my way up to a Senior Mechanic on shift. In 1993 I was awarded the Maintenance Supervisor position.  Following 5 years in maintenance supervision, I accepted the Safety Coordinators position. After a brief time as a Production Supervisor, I got back into maintenance in 2004 as a Planner, Facilities Specialist and now Maintenance Manager. I grew up in Lawrence and attended York College in York Nebraska on a Baseball scholarship. My wife and I have a blended family of 9 kids. We have a house in the country, and I enjoy working on landscaping, yard projects and trying to sneak in a round of golf.  At ICL, we have a very collaborative and “safety first” culture with folks willing to help, no matter the need. Opportunities are abound if you’re willing to put in the work.
